Christian Seaman's Organisation (CSO) is a Christian ministry serving seafarers in South Africa's harbours. This policy explains what information this website collects and how it is used. If you have any questions, contact us at cso@mweb.co.za.

When you browse this site, our measurement tools record which pages are visited, the approximate region a visit comes from, and general device and browser information. We do not use this to identify individual visitors.

When you contact us by email or through a form, or subscribe to our newsletter, we use the details you provide only to respond to you or to send you the newsletter.

Google Analytics 4 (Google) sets cookies that help us understand how the site is used — which pages are read and how visitors move through the site.

The Facebook Pixel (Meta Platforms) sets cookies that tell us when someone visits after clicking one of our advertisements, so we can measure and improve our advertising.

In regions where consent is required, neither tool runs until you make a choice in the cookie banner. If you decline, no measurement cookies are set.

Measurement data is shared with Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4) and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook Pixel). Newsletter subscriptions are handled by our email service provider, EtchMail. We do not sell your personal information.

We measure site usage to understand which content is helpful, and advertising performance to decide where to advertise. The Facebook Pixel also lets advertising platforms show our ads to people likely to be interested in our work (ad optimisation).

Visitors in regions that require cookie consent see a banner on their first visit and can accept or refuse. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, future measurement stops immediately.
